Internal Design
For the Doppler ultrasound component, the following component wiring diagram is designed. This shows the process of analog data acquisition from the ultrasound transducer. The diagram shows that in the start, the beamformer initials the transmission of beams. The beams are processed in the Pulser. The Pulser functions to accept a digital pulse from the beamformer/FPGA and relay a high-voltage pulse to the transducer probe The transducer will then produce pulsed wave forms which will go through the maternal abdomen and bounces back. The T/R switch protects the receiver circuit’s amplifiers from high voltage pulses on the probe transmission line. The processed signal then goes through the amplifier that amplifies the lower frequency wave form and proceeds to the low pass filter. The low pass filter will filter the noise and produce a clean and clearer signal. Then finally the analog front end will take the echoed voltage pulses and amplify them and digitize the received signals.
